Planning something smaller or at short notice? Talk to us anyway. Intimate weddings and civil ceremonies often need only a bridal bouquet, a few boutonnieres and some table flowers, which we can arrange much faster.

Kenya grows some of the finest roses in the world, which makes roses the heart of most Nairobi weddings. They are available all year and come in every shade, from classic white and blush to deep burgundy. Around them we build designs with spray roses, baby’s breath, lilies, chrysanthemums, carnations, eucalyptus and other greenery. Imported specialty blooms can be requested for an extra cost and with more notice.

Many Nairobi couples celebrate more than one ceremony, such as a traditional ceremony or ruracio followed by a church or garden wedding. Each has its own look. For traditional events we often design flowers to match fabrics and outfits, with bold colours, table arrangements for the families, and bouquets or corsages for key family members. Weddings at Nairobi venues

Every venue calls for a slightly different approach. Churches often have rules about where flowers can be placed and when setup can start. Garden venues in Karen and Runda need designs that hold up in the sun and a breeze. Hotel ballrooms around Upper Hill and Westlands usually have fixed access windows for setup. Share your budget early. We will suggest where to spend for the biggest impact, such as focusing on the bridal bouquet and head table and keeping guest tables simple.

How to make your wedding flower budget go further

• Focus on what shows in photos: the bridal bouquet, the arch or altar, and the head table.
• Use Kenyan roses as the base. They are fresh, beautiful and better value than imported flowers.
• Mix tall and low centrepieces rather than making every table a statement piece.
• Move ceremony flowers to the reception. Aisle and altar arrangements can be reused on the head table or at the entrance.
• Add greenery. Eucalyptus and foliage add volume at a lower cost.

Keeping wedding flowers fresh on the day

Nairobi weddings often run from morning to late evening, so flowers need to last. We prepare wedding flowers close to the day, keep bouquets hydrated until delivery and deliver bridal flowers to where you are getting ready. Keep the bouquet in water and out of direct sun between the ceremony and photos, and hand it to a bridesmaid when you are not holding it. For outdoor venues, we choose sturdy stems and designs that hold up in the sun.
