Keeping romantic roses fresh

To make roses last a week or more, trim 2 to 3 cm off each stem at an angle, place them in a clean vase with fresh water and change the water every two days. Remove any leaves below the waterline and keep the bouquet away from direct sun and fruit bowls. For heart and flower boxes, add a little water to the foam every day.
